The Partnership

Somerset Capital was founded in 2007 by Jacob Rees-Mogg, Edward Robertson and Dominic Johnson as a specialist Global Emerging Markets investment management firm. Over time the company has grown to 12 active partners based in London and Singapore.

Somerset Capital is a genuine employee owned investment management firm. All our investment managers and analysts are meaningful stakeholders in the business which means that we can keep employee turnover to a minimum and ensure consistency of our process.

At the core of our company philosophy lies a belief in transparency and we not only publish our partnership structure but we also welcome our investors to join an advisory board. This group meets annually and provides you with direct oversight of the evolution of our ownership structure, ensuring that the interests of the managers' of your funds are fully aligned with your own.

Finally, we think that you should not invest with a firm who does not invest its own money in its own products and we have established mechanisms to ensure that our staff invests in our funds over the long term.
